Working a desk job
It is quite comfortable
So much in fact
that it puts me to sleep
It is when I sit on my chair
in front of my table
that my mind starts mumbling fables
and I fall asleep
I come back after a while
from a dream, with an almost smile
I hear a voice then
"Work has to be done"
What a pain.......
My heart is petulant
it pleads with me, it cries
But the industrious me
gets me to my knees
"Time to get back to work" he says
I sigh
but this monotony is the way for me currently
till I make it, it is the way it has to be.
Here is a strong coffee and an old song
my dear ol heart
soon you will get to do all for which you long!
