The shadow of one I once knew By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
(In loving memory of my Grandma)
The weight of your death pressured me
I couldn't help but sob
Years have passed; but still I remember thee
And my big heart still does throb
I fell your love, covering me up
I feel your loving glow
I turn around to see your face
But all I get is a shadow
I see you in my dreams
Your kind, gentle face
But my heart is not complete; my tears still flow like streams
When I start to think of you, my beating heart will race
I see your smiles, hugging me tight
And I am filled with woe
When I feel your aura and look for you
All I see is a shadow
(I love you Grandma, and I miss you)
