Medusa's strands By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Medusa had many snakes
Each one held a name
Not of their own, but how their victim was known
Drooling for their shame
One snake hissed as a man
His name was simply lust
The other snake, shapely like a woman
Just laid coiled in distrust
One serpent was aged and in a rage
Looking to inflict poison
Another was filled with deceit
Acting sweet, but really a deadly boysen
Medusa stood inside the middle
Thinking all were fooled
But she couldn't lure in the passerby's
Following the golden rule
She went to every measure
But her fetter's only bound like weathered tape
Medusa had a lot going on in her head
Because there really were no snakes
