For domestic violence awareness
Just an average girl is what i seem to you
Look at my scars you don't have to look deep within
I cry every night asking myself why do I stay
I cry every night asking myself how long do I have to pay
Pay for mistake that I never made but somehow it's always my fault
A quick smack to the face with his yells bitch you got caught
To you I'm just an average girl that one no one sees
I wear cover up, long sleeve shirts, bandages no one ever sees me bleed
Dinner is ready, his clothes are clean, his beer is cold
Two punches to the face, dam this never gets old
I'm just an average girl trying to stay afloat
I'm now on the news for a story that was never told
I was just an average girl in your eyes
My casket will never tell lies
