It's four in the morning
Why do I remember
The things that you told me
On the fourth of December
Why am I still shaking
I'm lying in bed
It's four in the morning
But it's cold in my head
It's four in the morning
I'm trying to sleep
The clock that I made you
Is laughing at me
The hands are both pointed
Straight down at the ground
It's four in the morning
And I need you around
It's four in the morning
Why can't I forget
The dance that we went to
The things I regret
I'm trying to push you
Straight out of my mind
It's four in the morning
My thoughts aren't so kind
It's four in the morning
And I cannot close my eyes
I try not to do it
But I give up and cry
I haven't seen you in months
Like your prophecy said
It's four in the morning
And I'm lying in bed
It's four in the morning
I can't remember your voice
It still cuts me deep
When I think of your choice
Now you're out of the country
Not out of my head
It's four in the morning
And I'm lying in bed.
