We sit in this room...
This dead empty box of a room
Staring at a screen,
Writing about break-ups
And make-ups.
Describing a lost soul,
Or finding a forgotten friend.
Painting pictures of pain
And torn hearts.
Challenging each other
To be unique,
To stand out with our words.
But yet...
Our poems are no different.
We share the same tales
Dressed in different colours.
We sit in this room...
This dead empty box of a room,
Desperately seeking inspiration,
Only to resurface parched.
Vacant of any unique thought,
Void of every emotion.
And yet...
This room...
This dead empty box of a room
Has become my inspiration.
