I wish to feel warmth yet you wait By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
With anticipation
My night lies inside a haunted past
Enticing with dedicated hunger
As the element overcooks a porcelain dinner
Seeking a permanence
Ambivalent to desire
Seeking personal space
Understands the growth to take place
For a forest can not reach maturity until all the saplings have sought the sun and the moon reached for stars in the gloom
Sacrificed a life of living in silence while the cicadas happily shed their skins upon limb to limb
While waiting for the end to absolution
Not a chinamans chance
As I glance
Inside
Smiling
