The nauseous babble screams in my head
It bounces from the shadows and writes words of disgust
until I crouch in its midst and am overwhelmed.
Supremacy is its voice “Hear me, hear me I am important”
and the ego in the air chokes my senses
until deafness is elusive.
Then, I hear you whisper,”Come to me, come to me slip away”
I look inwards to my heart and there you are
my hope, my faith and sanity cradling me .
I breathe you in and the nauseous voices fade
into their own narcissism and leave.
Here I am again requited with you and your peace
ever thankful for your whisper.
