A cluster of indecisive birds jostle with the darkening sky eyeing safety amongst the tallest branches
City streets awash with grey life insuits disappear beneath umbrellas like confetti in the gutter
Clouds wet and heavy build like a setting wave rising above the shallow world below
Everything stops as the world inhales, darkness deepens as the sounds of nature reclaim the land
Cracks appear as the sky tears itselfapart, subsonic tremors signalling the beginning of the show
Iron sheets of rain bridge land to a heaven deserting, overflowing unmarked grated graves
Sideways through alleyways, skipping through shedding trees and flesh the sodden gale goes
The earth protests its self-inflicted flagelation and the lawless furore subsides
Time soon resets to the sounds of flowing trains and dripping eaves catching winks of light
We listen as she goes about her way, and bask in the peace before going about ours.
