After we have weighed each other
Each ounce, pound, each gram of flesh
From eyes to hair, soul and heart
Sit back, think and reflect
The shoes don't fit, nor the gloves
Though the heart beats, the same red
Yet the path that I have followed
Is not the same that you have tread
Then why judge me or I judge you?
What guilt, what murder, what crimes done?
We are ordinary, you and I,
Struggling beneath a common sun
Life may stop to tell a story
We hear in whispers, our way, our want
And annotate critically
Forgetting to love and to bond.
