I lie in my bed.
My heart pounds.
My mind is misled.
It's doing its nightly rounds.
Pondering.
Searching.
Wondering.
Perching.
Along new ideals,
Of new ways to reveal.
To show my affection,
To give all my attention.
I think of the words,
Or at least I try.
I hear each thought's birth,
But I cannot comply.
It is not good enough.
It is not sufficient.
The word is not love,
That's not the definition.
It's not what we know,
It's not what we're taught.
It's not what we are shown,
People stray at first thought.
An emotion so pure,
A feeling so right.
Something lacking demure.
It would give anyone a fright.
So obnoxious, so dense.
So fluent, just as I hoped.
It all makes sense.
As for I never coped.
I left the pieces.
I found flawless anew.
For this love I have never ceases.
I will feel everything with you.
