Hair blowing in the wind,
Laughing and loving all our fun;
Reminiscing on bad,
ugly
and great times of our past;
Talking bout our journeys
and how blessed we are to have gotten so far;

you were answering my calls,
Listening to my pain
and healing my mental scars
With your serious joking,
Telling me to physically move on;
It seems just like yesterday
fat-Tuesday was the bomb
Driving to New Orleans celebrating with the stars;
It seems just like yesterday
I was holding baby Ashley in my arms;
It seems just like yesterday
Chellsea was a child hugging me extra hard;
It seems like yesterday
Jai'neka was getting baptized underneath the Lord;
It seems just like yesterday
my Big little cousin felt pain no more
And is finally truly walking and talking with God…
