Dear Lord those eyes – immortal panes –
To stare through them brings out – explains –
The nature of all time and space –
How soul and mind now interlace –
The place of hiding for the soul –
This centre of your being – whole;
To drown into those orbs is bliss –
As sensual as a lover's kiss –
You feel your mask now immolate –
Unhampered – free – euphoric state;
A naked man prepared to share –
All that you're worth – this feeling rare;
And then 'tis easy to believe –
That eyes as these can heal – relieve –
The sadness in another's heart –
Can fix, can mend, replace that part;
For there is such great empathy –
An active eye for sympathy –
A mentor's eyes – so full of trust –
Can they too conjure dreams from dust?
You think it so – exquisite she –
With beauty as her constancy –
The angel with God-given eyes –
So enigmatic – wondrous – wise.
