You can hope and pray for my downfall, but I'm still gonna hold it down y'all By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
You might hope that I suffer
You might hope that I leave
You might hope I fall under
You might hope I don't breathe
But I pray before supper
And I pray as I grieve
And I pray for any other
man,
who wants me to bleed
And I pray for every brother
Who wants to succeed
And thanks to my mother
I learned how to proceed
Because she taught me so much
Because she bought me so much
And I love my father God
Because he brought so much
And I fought for so much
My hunger got me so much
The struggle taught me so much
So I had to hustle for brunch
And I'm so in touch
With all of my pain
Breakfast, dinner, and
lunch, is what keeps me
so sane,
So I'm not insane
I still posses my brain
You can call me a lame
You can call me odd
You can call me insane
You can call me a fraud
Drop salt on my name
Cuz you're just dissing God
When you clown on my name
So talk down on my name
Because it no longer matters
Even if you try to break me
My heart no longer shatters...
