Noxious fumes move dangerously
Over the toppled trees and cracked rock
Buildings that are laid to ruin amid
Toxic people that gasp and grasp
To what they think is reality, they are
Mutating into freaks of nature
This has evolved in the wrong direction
Now we have two minds on every matter
We can't see that we have become blind
To what is in front of our face while our
Right hand doesn't know what the left is
Doing and we think we have all the answers
But our brains have turned to mush
The truth is that every fact will decay
Given enough time, nothing is set in stone
This is a half life we are living in
The aftermath of a fallout between
What was and what is and what will be
But in the end, nothing is left standing
This winter will be nuclear and
There are still plenty of bombs to drop
But it's not going to make a single dent
Because the end already came and went
And it was welcomed with open arms
Our whole world was blown apart
But instead of rising from the ash
They put on a mask and laughed
While they danced amid the chaos
What a waste
Of a perfectly good thing
