ramblings and things
1,302,581 poems read
Wednesday evenings
we can be found
at the sailmakers.
for the sing around.
The slim young girl with
the flame red shoes
sits there in the bar
and sings the blues.
Billie Holliday Bessie Smith,
old blues, thirties style,
her alive young face
wreathed in smiles.
When she comes
we like her song
choice and we all
Love her voice.
Singing the blues
thirties style
while gracing us
with her smile
at the Sailmakers,
where we can be found
gathered on Wednesdays
for our sing around.
