Well fright night is definitely here once more
And you will get a knock on the door for sure,
But beware of what prowls about in the dark
The unearthly sounds will make the dogs bark.
A rap on the door and a cackle is heard
You are too speechless to utter a word,
As you take steps towards the bolted door
They rap again and you`re frozen to the core.
With bated breath you slide the bolt back
You can`t see anything for it`s pitch black,
The sounds seem to come from beyond the grave
And you feel anything far from brave.
You are ready to concede defeat
When they jump out shouting `Trick or Treat`
You must not fear the demons of the night
For it`s only kids come to give you a fright.
It`s Halloween and so the fun must reign
The children have a reputation to maintain,
Dressed as ghosts, ghouls, skeletons and witches
They like to make you jump out of your britches.
