he will try By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Yup
He will try and be the gentleman
To be loving and kind
He will preach at his church
On Sunday
To his herd
He will try and strike up a conversation
While I cook something absurd
Like roasted vegetables
And feta salad
Oh he'll try to fulfill his duty in the bed
And I'll read all the books on his shelves instead
While I visit the ocean
And get punched in the head
Till that one day
My temptation will undo me
And I'll commit a sin of dread
And he'll show his true colors
And shoot me with lead
His words will cut me to the bone like red
And I'll leave a trail of my blood
As I leave him
Yelling his head
Heart broken
Baby in my bed
Will return to my elephant
She'll look after me
But he'll pay a price oh yes
Miscarriage
Of his child
And I bled
And bled
