Lonely Avenue
Too much time on my hands to sit and think
I've got no plans so I pour another drink
My pen has run dry and I got no ink
The curtains are closed
And the sun don't come through
I'm sitting in the dark
Don't know what to do
I can't work it out
I haven't got a clue
I'm sitting in lonely avenue
Lonely avenue
My head is pounding like the beat of a drum
And I don't like what I've become
My guitar has no strings so I cannot strum
I cannot strum
I'm gonna explode and blow to kingdom come
I'm on overload and I've fired the gun
But I don't know what is the outcome
What's the outcome
The curtains are closed
And the sun don't come through
I'm sitting in the dark
Don't know what to do
I can't work it out
I haven't got a clue
I'm sitting in lonely avenue
Lonely avenue
I don't know what to do
I don't know where to go
Won't you help me find the way
I'm on lonely avenue
Lonely avenue
