Faith assures us of many things, That we can expect to occur; Convinces us of what God brings, Through prayers that He will confer. Faith convinces what God creates, All that we have seen through His Word; Blessing each one that appreciates, With laud and honor what they heard. Faith led Abel to offer God, A better sacrifice than Cain; But through jealousy Cain had flawed, Because His brother, he had slain. Faith left Enoch to be taken, Into Heaven without dying; Ensured God was not forsaken, For in the light he was eyeing. Faith had led Noah to listen, When he got a warning from God; On making the earth to glisten, With water and cleansing where flawed. Faith had led Abraham to live, As a foreigner far away; As a father through birth to give, Many children as come what may. All of them saw the things to be, In the distant future rejoiced; In the promises they could see, In prayer and praises that they voiced. They confessed that they were strangers, Only as pilgrims on this earth; Because of the hidden dangers, That Satan causes since their birth. We all yearn for a better place, Just like all of these men longed for; A home in which God shed His grace, And step on that heavenly shore.
