THE FUTURE COSTS

The future costs more than hamburgers
Or moments spent
In robbing on a lady's lap

The future costs:
Go and find out now
Than a crime committed
At lush hour

The future costs
More than ten billion kisses on the wrong jaw
Had in exchange
For eternity

Go, ask Joseph:
The future costs
More than the nakedness
And cold
And embarrassment of lies
Told about the innocent
