What causes quarrels and fights, Are they not desires? That you focus your sights, That light your fires. A fight for to control, As selfish as you are; For commanding your soul, Makes a gash in your scar. You want what you have not, So you commit murder; To get what you have sought, Makes you a back slider. You decide to have things, But get not what you want; For the pleasure it brings, Your mind begins to taunt. So you quarrel and fight, That the heart desires; Not praying that you might, That the heart acquires. You unfaithful people, This is love for evil; Not love from the Gospel, Rather from the devil. Whoever wants to be, A friend within this place; A foe of God is he, Will never have His grace. But God shows His kindness, And kind to the humble; For He hates the mindless, That complain and grumble. Merely let God control, And His authority; For safeguarding your soul, To have a victory.
