Are We Able to Remember Our First Christmas

The Christmastime I remember was a special one.
There were all sorts of presents; in Mom's chair for me.
Ervin, my  brother, had his gifts; in Dad's chair.
This is the way it was for years  till we moved to another place.
Jesus was very much thought of from my parents telling the Christmas story.
When I learned  t here were no Santa I cried.
But so glad I learned the truth and acknowledging it is Dad that provided the things we received.
Mom was alongside of Dad  and is to be praised as well for all she did.
Our home was a happy one for love was everywhere and remained so for years.
The first Christmas was one where we  had turkey for our meal.
All the things that went along with the turkey were there.
I learned some new foods then and have carried them to this day.
We learned to use Christmas wrapping paper to hide the gift for a time.
It was a great lesson we learned of what to do and how to continue.
This was our first Christmas and a great one to out do some of the others we had seen; in later years.
