I thank Jesus Christ our Lord, He trusted and appointed me; So I could be in one accord, Having the insight as to see. I can do His work with the strength, The power and might He has given; To persevere at any length. Here on earth from up in Heaven. For in the past my life was grim, How I acted arrogantly; Ways I persecuted and cursed Him, Thinking it was so gallantly. But I was treated with such grace, Ignorant in my unbelief; He still showed mercy to embrace, Giving me spiritual relief. Our Lord has been very kind, A kindness bringing faith to me; Which has given a peace of mind, Along with insight for to see. For the love of Christ shows people, The mercy and grace that He has; As is written in the Gospel, Having the compassion whereas. He deserves complete acceptance, And as well as being trusted; Willing to give you assistance, For stopping what you have lusted. For Christ came here to save sinners, And I am foremost in that part; But His patience make you winners, So that you have a change of heart. I was treated with grace from Christ, The worst sinner through His patience; So no longer to be enticed, Down on my knees giving penance.
