Thirty Two Pieces Including a Dove

ThirtPieces Including a Dove            November 25, 2015

Thirty two pieces of the country I love

Thirty two pieces including a dove

Each piece of my jigsaw joining as one

Representing my land, thirty two down to one

Joining together, Joining as one

From cork in the south where our heroes did die

To the little streets of Derry where they said goodbye

Donegal in the north west where the wild eagle fly

Belfast with memories, we still think and we cry

Dublin town nineteen sixteen

Our heroes were killed, you know what I mean

Connolly died strapped in a chair

Thirty two pieces of Ireland with love everywhere

I joined the pieces, I joined my land

Thirty two pieces united we stand

Every piece that I join makes it more clear

Each piece belongs together united without fear

I placed the last piece of my thirty two

United Ireland for me and you

Thirty two pieces of the country I love

Thirty two pieces including a dove
