I can't help but notice
So much talent as well as poetry
Song writing art I with none
The singers, dancers. instruments
Me the collector of 10,000 albums
I feel so unworthy
There is a reason

I won a $1500 art award
They thought my drawing of Abraham Lincoln
was a career in cartoons
Teacher thought I was mimicking Porky Pig

bearing gift we travel afar following
Yonder star.
Field and fountain
Moor and Mountain
In my deepest baritone
My voice stood out all alone
Practiced for two weeks
The choir director was pulling out her hair
Finally: "Jimmy you take Dandy's part-
Dandy you come from the side bearing gifts
I was the tallest of kings non singing
Jewels and presents to Jesus I was bringing
Not even allowed to bang on a drum
Fast forward:
"!958": Homecoming, my date the Queen
I was visiting dressed in my finest Air Force blue
A blind date, heah it lasted a year or two
Next day off we go into the wild blue yonder
The dance: a judge touch elimination
I was so proud the final couple on the floor
Girl walked up whispered,
"Dandy you are so awkward and cannot dance!"
"The only reason you won is Amy's popularity."
She was right you know jealous or not!
I gave her my trophy she was right on!
Danced ugly with the queen off the floor
When I sing sounds like a wounded duck
Get on stage for talent out of luck
