Mom Brought Happiness to Us at Christmastime

One of the years that I am able to remember was a great time where Mom was the center.
I remember having an old Hoover vacuum cleaner to clean the floor.
Mom was preparing the Christmas dinner as I was using this to help.
It was a special time for I was able to hear my music that Mom would allow me to hear and it was the Christmas music that touched me.
Happiness was all around for Mom was with a smile on her face.
Dad had shared his feelings with us about the holidays to decorate the tree.
It was the two sons, my older brother and I who had stars; in our eyes thinking of the Christmas presents we'd receive on Christmas Eve.
Mom brought happiness to us at Christmastime.
For the unity that was felt between my parents showed; in their lives and faces.
Our home was one of  being mediocre but we had  reasons to be joyful and were.
Jesus was always Paramount to us everyday of the year.
Christmas was the icing on the cake so to speak.
Christmas even made the ones who were hard to get along easy to us.
Jesus did that for us and it was always the same at Christmastime.
