The Unused Holly Wreath

The crowd gathered to make their purchases for Christmastime.
One of the people there was a little  boy.
He was of meager existence but did save all year for  a holly wreath.
Nothing but a holly wreath would do for their door.
There was one within the vendor's possession that wasn't too pretty.
It had a red ribbon and some holly but without the  berries.
Not too much value was there for this one and was about to throw it out.
Until this little boy saw it and found to like it so much he'd had to have it.
Proudly he walked up to the vendor and placed down the money he had saved.
It was close to $5.00 all year that he saved.
Pointing to the holly wreath without the berries he asked the vendor to get him the wreath.
The vendor laughed to himself but reached for it and gave it to the little boy.
Proudly, Trevor, the little boy, walked home with the wreath around  his neck.
Joy permeated his face as he showed the wreath to his parents.
Upon the door of their home it was placed for the season of Christmas.
