A Week before ChristmasA Week before Christmas A week before Christmas I still need to shop What should I get her? Besides some new socks I don't have much money I spent it on me Maybe a gift card I got almost free I'll take her to dinner I know that's not much Somewhere real special I think we'll go Dutch Or maybe we'll stay home And watch some TV Maybe a ball game Of my favorite team I'll hold her close by me And keep her real warm I'm such a good husband But here comes the storm She's huffing and puffing Her face is deep red It's my final Christmas I think I am dead Copyright ©2015 Marvin H Lane Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
