Dear John
A letter to my lovely hubby John who passed to the light on 4/8/13 and who would be 77 years old today 17/12/15. love always hugs xxx
Dear John
Dear John, it seems so long
Since you went so far away
Seventy-seven, up in heaven
You spend your day, today
I regret that you`re up there
Upon a star, please hear my prayer
Let me know that you go on
Give me that to live upon
You are still deep within my dreams
In them nothing`s what it seems
But I awake, pick up the phone
And find that I am still alone.
I hear the silence that we shared
Each of us upon our chairs
But your voice I can`t recall
And your laughter not at all
So please my lovely send to me
Memories that I can see
Songs we used to sing together
In many different kinds of weather
Times we laughed and whispered low
So the children would not know
We were planning Christmas cheer
Just for them, yes every year.
Another birthday just for you
Hope you have a smile or too
And that always you`ll remember
As I will do each December
Age to you now matters not
If Heaven is what you have got
You`ll be so young, so young and free
I hope that you remember me
Have a lovely birthday dear
Let me know that you are near
Love comes flying through the sky
I will never say goodbye
I only wish that we could share
Another moment on our old chair
To touch your fingers with my own
Then I would not be so alone
One sentence saying I love you
Happy birthday to you too
But I still hope we`ll meet again
Love you darling until then.
