Rain on my pillow
Rain on my pillow, tears in my eyes,
The pain never ending, a smile my disguise,
The end of a romance that drowned in a still,
I pray that you'll stay, but I doubt that you will.
Rain on my pillow, the blues in B sharp,
Pain like no other dismantled my heart,
The drop of a key on the letterbox mat,
I know by the sound that you won't be back.
Rain on my pillow, black clouds on my mind,
The pain of the lonely, the blue moon's all mine,
A night of confession of disrupted sleep,
I know that you've gone and this time it's for keeps.
