What If There Was No Christmas

Anticipation fills the air!
Christmas Day is drawing near!
Little children everywhere
Have made all their wishes clear!

Leah, Ava, Bella, and Audri

All the mystery and the magic
Are projected on each face!
And wouldn’t it be very tragic
If Christmas time did not take place?!

Desi

What if a naughty Grinch stole Christmas?
Suppose he banished Santa Claus?
And left every youngster giftless?
O, what if Christmas had no cause?

Olivia

What if there was no Holy Night?
No Baby born in Bethlehem!!
No Shepherds bowing in His sight!!
No Angels and no Three Wise Men!

What if no cause to celebrate?
No gifts to give or to receive?
What if there was no certain date?
 No single reason to believe?

Desi

There'd be no hustle and no bustle
To get all of the shopping done!
There'd be no snip. no snap, no rustle!
No wrapping gifts for anyone!

A.J., Leah, Santa, Bella, Nikki, Audri

There'd be no smell of turkeys roasting!
No honey hams studded with clove!
No marshmallowed yams for toasting !
No apple cidar on the stove!

Santa and Desi

Alas, no wreaths of crimson berries!
No lights upon a Christmas tree!
No elves, no Rudoph, or no fairies!
No, not a single fantasy!!

No, not one family tradition!
No children's faces all aglow!
Not even one Bible rendition
Of Who was born so long ago !

Father God, we love this season!
Thanks for sending us Your Son!
We're happy Christmas has a reason!
Yes, Merry Christmas everyone!

~~Dedicated to all the children who believe~~

Micah 5:2 -
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands
of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me [that is] to be ruler
in Israel; whose goings forth [have been] from of old, from everlasting.

Isaiah 7:14 -
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold,
a virgin shall conceive
, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6 -
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

A.J., Nikki, and their girls
