Mom and the Family Christmas Tree

I once had an aluminum Christmas tree for our home.
We had the miniature lights to put around its limbs.
Pretty was it for a time of shining and glowing for us to see.
Then one year, I had the tree handy but was failing to put it up.
Countdown for the days till Christmas and still no tree decorated.
Christmas Eve was the last day I had to put up the tree and finally did.
Mom mentioned to me to either put up the tree or to forget it for the year.
Mom was exact with what she had said.
I knew the season wouldn't be as good as it could be without the tree.
I was procrastinating to get the tree up.
Mom had a remedy for it which she used and caused me to action.
We had the tree that year and had presents under the tree which brought delight to all four.
Mom was one to not put off things on a continual basis.
Mom was immediate with the things she did and as she planned well it all came together as this did for the Christmas tree and myself.
