Here comes the love

Love, like water, flows in streams,

From drips to trickles, torrents to seas,

There are those who sup from brimming cups,

And those who survive on 'just a drop.'

Love's waters pour from heaven's well,

To stir the heart, to mix, to jell,

To sip, to sup, to quaff, to glug,

To drench, to drown, in all that love.

Love's waters flow without a rest,

From unsure heart, to heaving breast,

But should your stream of love dry out,

It could be just a lover's drought.

Give it time and you might see,

A surge of love, 'potentially,'

There's been a drought, but now the flood,

Take heart, drink hard, here comes the love.
