The Day the Cherry Pie Was Missing

The day the cherry pie was missing  there was a bear; in our community.
Before you would say the bear is the one who took the pie you have to know something first.
This bear was a baby bear who hadn't acquired a taste for cherries.
What do you mean?
Well, he was only a young bear that was beginning to venture away from the cave.
There was a little boy who had no home of his own for he was an orphan.
About the age of eleven or so, he was going through the town looking for handouts.
I do believe he smelt the pie cooling; in the ladies window and took it.
But, alas, after being checked by the constable they found no hint of the pie anywhere.
Later, it was noised there were foxes roaming about the little town.
This is what happened to the pie for it was a fox which got on his hind legs and savored the pie all in one instance with several gulps it was gone.
Stranger things have happened but it was the fox who ate the cherry pie.
