Lyle Always Wished Me Well

NO matter what I was up to doing or trying; Lyle always wished me well.
Learning to play the keyboard was a feat I had tried and accomplished my goal.
Lyle was behind me with the enthusiasm to help me to keep on working.
He was there to encourage me to keep writing as I began to take on the position for my career.
I dearly love Lyle for what he did and the person he was.
I did say the word “was” for he is since passed away.
There is sadness for his partner and myself for we lost someone great.
Lyle always wished me well and never made fun of me.
He never laughed at me nor poked any fun.
I will continue to love him for all he did for me.
It is true he was miles away from me.
But within my heart we are close and were close then.
I will do my best to remember him for all time unless something happens to my memory.
There is joy remembering Lyle and the man he was and remains to be.
