Love, the world can be so cruel
But in your arms there is safety,
A soft place to fall into.
Love, each day can run one into another
But here with you, just sitting silently
Can be a grand adventure.
Love, sometimes I seem to lose my way
But when you reach to hold my hand,
Each step becomes true and clear.
Love, so often trouble or darkness descends,
But with your smile and firm caress
The dawn holds sway on my heart.
Love, there are those who consider us fools
But if we be fools, let us suffer together
In the soul-stirring bliss of sweet love!
