Get Out And Die
Get Out And Die January 6, 2016
I say goodbye to my brother and cry
Gun in hand sent together to die
Get out said the sergeant, keep your head down or die
No time to ask questions, no time to deny
I write this from heaven, now I know why
Blown away together, no time to cry
Two teenage boys who never had toys
We died together just like we grew
Pick up your gun, heads down and run, if only we knew
Joseph and Francis brothers alone
Taken to Flanders to die alone
No chance to grow, no family to show
Died together, will they ever know
No chance to kiss the “Holy Ground”
No chance to hear the score
Goodbye to pat and William, my childhood friends from there
A message from my new home, just to let you know I care
You can find me in the crosses far away from home
Don't feel sad, just smile, you know I'm not alone
I say goodbye to my brother and cry
Gun in hand sent together to die
