'' You Get But One Chance ''

Time's not a healer,
In life it's a dealer,
Of everyone's first and last breath,
In effect it is the sealer,
Of when we will all meet our death.

Time does rule,
It's a powerful tool,
Controlling our everyday life,
While still here it's the ultimate jewel,
Though at times it can cause such strife.

Young or old,
It will not be told,
Like nature it does its own thing,
With limited ability it can be controlled,
Both joy and heartache it can bring.

Look after it well,
For we cannot tell,
When it decides it's your time to leave,
On this fact you must never dwell,
For what's passed you will never retrieve.

Being happy it's yours,
Is what endures,
It's a gift you must never waste,
For getting older there are no cures,
So don't try to live it in haste.

Making it your treasure,
 Will give you such pleasure,
Your time here you must try to enhance,
For life is a miracle without accurate measure,
To try it,
