The Heartbreaking Story of Rachel Elizabeth

Years ago there was  a little girl by the name of Rachel Elizabeth.
She was born in a family that had a dad who was an alcoholic.
For the longest time the dad would drink and be abusive.
One time he took a fire poker to his dear and loving wife.
In his rage, he had strewn blood all over the walls to their home.
After hiding the children; in the barn, he called for Rachel Elizabeth.
He wanted her to clean the bloody walls and fix up the house.
Rachel Elizabeth was not alone for her sister, Mary, was also called.
Rachel Elizabeth's educational level was only of the third grade.
She was told by her drunken dad to remain at home and care for her mother.
It was a sad situation until Rachel Elizabeth broke free and left.
The end of the story is something most desired.
The drunker father repented of his wrongdoing and was found in a nursing home.
He was able to see Rachel Elizabeth now a grown woman.
Her young son was there as well but was thought to be Mary's son.
Life ended for the father and he went to Heaven where they both are today.
This is the true story of Rachel Elizabeth for you see, she was my mother
