Mom Never Feared the Wind

Though there were some fierce winds that blew Mom was never afraid of them.
She listened so intently to the howling winds one night.
They were frightening to me but to Mom they had no power.
Mom had lived sometime ago in a wind swept area.
It was nothing or commonplace to have the winds to blow.
Mom never feared the howling winds but listened to them.
They had the sound of a mother crying over their children.
The winds were so fierce they blew a gale.
Mom was used to the wind as we said.
It was when the winds died down the fear was seen on her face.
The calmness of the wind was a prelude to the impending tornado that was coming.
It touched down right in front of the home Mom lived and then died.
Mom never feared the wind but the tornado was more than she could bare.
Mom left the area and sought a better clement to find the winds would follow her.
Mom never feared the wind as it were they were blowing the day Mom passed  away.
Cold and chilling were the winds that we heard to find Mom leaving them behind one day when death visited her.
