The Night They Will Never Forget

Black and ominous are the clouds within the sky.
They are pendulous as they grow nearer to the land.
An undercurrent is about to unfold with us not being prepared.
The night they will never forget makes itself known.
The rains come intermitted and they are very cold.
Soft is the wind that now blows.
People run to get out of the way of the rain storm.
Only to find they are engulfed all the more.
The night they will never forget forges ahead.
Taking its toll on the land and the crops.
Making it a barren land of desolation.
But the sun arises the next day and all is at peace.
However, the night they will never forget is a constant reminder of what happened the night before.
