The Hardship of Failing Is Most Painful

All through school I never wanted to fail at anything.
I tried and did my work as I should have.
Having given it all I had was a responsibility of mine.
To fail was not an option for me to consider.
However, there were some subjects that I did fail which troubled me.
I wasn't very good at algebra though I tried to master it well.
It was at the end of the year with the final exam and had to learn I failed to pass.
The pain was there for me plus I didn't get to do the testing a senior normally goes through.
I learned that all things I was trying would sometimes fail.
I couldn't do anything about it no matter how hard I worked.
So I had to learn that the hardship of failing is most painful and go on with my life.
Having struck out with the math I tried my hand at English and attained a happier outcome.
Now, I write poetry for a living and feel great for having attained as I have.
Jesus has done it all  for me so I give Him the praise.
