A Contrite Heart Is What We Must Have to Please God

A contrite heart is a repentant heart and we must have it to please God.
Why?
Because in having a repentant heart we are acknowledging God in His Supremacy and as He is.
We acknowledge our wrongdoings and confess them to a Holy and Righteous God.
We must come to this conclusion of being totally honest with God.
To kid ourselves and say we are not so bad is to lie to ourselves.
When our deeds are as filthy rags in His sight.
We must be yielded to Him for all the right reasons.
Piety is not one of them.
A contrite heart is one that is humble and tender to the will of God.
It is our responsibility to be honest with ourselves and with God primarily.
Or else there is nothing that is ever accomplished.
God is not pleased and we have erred as we will if we are for self.
Get self out of the way and seek Someone much higher.
Seek Jesus and all these things will be added unto you as the Scriptures tell us.
