I am allowed to do anything, But not everything is good; Though the pleasure that it may bring, Not as what God says that I should. I am allowed to do anything, But will not let it take control; Even though bad habits will cling, I will not let them in my soul. My stomach satisfied by food, But God will satisfy my heart; Giving me the right attitude, Awake to a new day to start. But the body is not for sin, Since your body is for the Lord; Sexual urges should not win, And at all cost should be ignored. For your body is part of Christ, With Him you need to become one; To a harlot not sacrificed, So save your body for the Son. If you unify with the Lord, You become one with His Spirit; Show that He is loved and adored, He will give love for your merit. Stay away from sexual sin, And other sins do not commit; Allow purifying within, Inviting the Holy Spirit. For your body is a temple, That is for the Holy Spirit; Not abused by other people, For any immoral merit. For you had been bought with a price, As to bring glory unto God; His grace allowed the sacrifice, So that we could honor and laud. C Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
