The One that is holy, The One who has the key; And able to solely, Open the door to see. But no one else can shut, Nor are able to lock; Not even a bandit, Who would brag as they talk. Christ knows what you have done, And opened up the door; Before you since you won, To see the distant shore. You have a little strength, But have paid attention; To persevere the length, Because of salvation. You deny not His name, Every living day; As you reach to proclaim, Through your trust to obey. He makes those who embark, In the place of Satan; To suffer in the dark, Until they straighten. A footstool for His feet, Until they will realize; About their true defeat, The deceit and the lies. Because you have obeyed, His command to endure; Strengthened as you prayed, For opening the door. He knows you do your best, I you live in this place; Since you have passed the test, He will give you His grace. C Copyright © 2016 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
