It is not in my nature
to let go of a dream.
He is there...
There is a man
somewhere in my
universe meant
to be by my
side,
as my
equal in all things,
there to share in
every exquisite
moment of the
life we are
given.
Simply because I've
not lain eyes upon him
does not mean he
is not there.
He is waiting...
Waiting and holding out
the same hope I have
for our eyes to meet,
seeing in them
recognition
and joy.
I feel his arms wrapping
around me from behind,
hear his voice in my
willing ear, feel his
breath upon my
nape, warming…
…warming my heart.
There is a promise I keep ~
a promise to myself
to not settle, not
close myself off
to possibility.
At times it is so difficult
to wait, for I have such
love to give, so much
to share, it aches for
wanting to be
released…
…but I do wait.
He will be worth it
and he will know
I was worth it too.
