1957 Randolph Air Force Hospital
My first assignment
My roommate was writing to his girl
He said something to me and I did not answer
Could see me staring blankly in space
Concerned he tried to wake me
First time I was touched by Angels
I awoke and said something has happened to Mom
As anyone would he thought me crazy
Angels had whispered that Mom was dying
In panic I could not move tried to get a leave
This is the short version
I knew what I was feeling was real
Two hours later the call came
A member of the Church ministry was sent to my side
Mom was doing dishes watching her favorite tv show
She sneezed and she gushed blood and became weak
was taken to the Emergency room nearly out of blood
I was seeing in my vision evey moment of care
At the last moment she was saved under care
My roomamate said, "Get this, everytime I stop
I leave the the time noted until I return. It says
leaving for the difference in time zone exactly
The time your Mom was bleeding and the ambulance was coming
The importance it has happened more than once
I feel the pain of those I care about
So: Last night I was awakened by a pounding on my chest
Not a dream I was seeing childlike Angels
It was five in the morning "AM" I sit here uneasy
No one as yet has called with bad news
