Somber Thoughts
Somber thoughts hover
in my mind
Like dark clouds, static,
with no wind
However much I try
to cheer myself
The dull mood keeps
asserting itself
The cloudburst happens
all of a sudden
And I start writing the
poems unbidden
Is this a real talent or a
malady unknown
Do all poets feel this way
or am I on my own
in my mind
