The Desert
Vast empty desert stretched
ahead till the eyes could see
The dune pattern made it look
like a turbulent pale golden sea
Sun ruled the dome of the sky
without a single cloud in sight
Bathing the desert cruelly with
harsh relentless bright sunlight
A tall thin bearded man walked in
this desert with his head held high
A single old turkey buzzard circled
above him high in the clear blue sky
ahead till the eyes could see
The dune pattern made it look
like a turbulent pale golden sea
Sun ruled the dome of the sky
without a single cloud in sight
Bathing the desert cruelly with
harsh relentless bright sunlight
A tall thin bearded man walked in
this desert with his head held high
A single old turkey buzzard circled
above him high in the clear blue sky
